Fossil Rock is Perth's premier rock'n'roll band playing 50's and 60's music.
Fossil Rock started out as a Special Events Rock & Roll Band. The brain-child of Gary Powell (6PR) and Rick Selby (ex Troupadores).
The Special Events were Telethon fundraisers- the first in 1993 featured Fossil Rock with Johnny Young - 1994 with Ronnie Burns - 1995 with Ray Brown and each event raised thousands of dollars for Telethon.
So successful was the concept, Fossil Rock went into the pubs, notably the Raffles ( over 7 years) and the Hyde Park (6 years).
2010 sees the Fossils even busier than before, playing their Party Rock & Roll of the 50's and 60's .
Rick Selby says " It's difficult trying get a weekend off, to have a break and get away somewhere. But we're not complaining, it's too much fun".

We've all been playing regularly since mid 60's, performing the songs we grew up with. Probably each of us have been performing over 40 years and " Still loving it".
